You can marry at any Austrian registry office regardless of where you live — the city says so in as many words — and the Austrian civil ceremony is legally binding, so there is no need to repeat it at home. Both partners normally attend in person for the procedure that establishes capacity to marry, which carries a statutory fee of €74; holding the ceremony outside the registrar's own rooms adds €54.50. Anything with a foreign element — foreign citizenship, or a birth, divorce or earlier marriage abroad — Innsbruck handles case by case and asks you to telephone the registry office rather than publishing a document list, so expect to be told which translations and legalisations your particular file needs, and to pay further statutory fees for them.
