Is Evite free?
Yes, with ads. Evite's free designs cost nothing up to 750 guests, but they show advertising to your guests. Premium is a one-off package priced by guest count, from $17.99 to $99.99, and Evite Pro is a yearly subscription, $249.99, for people who host often.
The free tier is more generous than most people expect. Evite's help pages state: “Free Invitations support up to 750 guests. If your gathering runs larger than that, Evite Pro bumps that limit to 2,500 guests per Invitation.” Free Event Pages carry the same ceiling, up to 750 guests. For a birthday, a potluck or an office party, that is a complete product at no cost.
The price is advertising. Free designs show advertising to your guests, and the moment you pick anything Premium — an envelope with a colour, stamp and liner, an animated reveal, guest names on the envelope, an RSVP-by deadline — the design converts to Premium and you pay. So the envelope moment is precisely the thing the free tier does not have.

How much does Evite cost for 100 guests?
$99.99 (Diamond) — or $0 on a free design with ads. A hundred guests is past the Platinum cap (up to 75 guests), so Diamond is the cheapest Premium package that covers the list — one flat fee, no per-guest charge. Wedvite is $89 with no advertising, and the same $89 covers 100 guests or 400.

We do not win this table outright. Evite's free tier reaches up to 750 guests and one of the other rows is free outright with no published guest-count paywall, so on price alone free beats $89. A third row includes the envelope animation, where ours arrives with the paid invitation. Read the ad-free column with the prose beside it: Punchbowl's own pages say advertising comes off at Platinum and above, while Evite states that free designs show ads, and we did not verify on 15 September 2026whether a paid Premium package removes them, so we do not credit it with an ad-free tier. Where a cell reads “not verified on 15 September 2026”, the vendor did not publish that fact on the check date and we do not guess one.
