Is Wedvite a wedding website or a digital invitation?

Design is free, and so is sharing with your first 10 guests. There are more than 30 designs in 12 languages including right-to-left Arabic, hosted through your wedding date and at least 90 days after. Is Zola's wedding website free?
Yes. The website is free for unlimited guests, RSVP is built in, and digital save the dates are free to share by link. The one digital extra Zola prices is a custom domain, from $17.99 a year and auto-renewing, which forwards to your zola.com address rather than replacing it; Premium Website effects and Premium Guest Messaging are paid too, at prices Zola does not publish.
The fact that matters here: Zola does not sell a digital wedding invitation; its invitations catalogue is printed paper only, from $1.79 each (Petite). Guest texting is a paid Premium Guest Messaging upgrade whose price is not published.

Is Joy's wedding website free?
Yes, and Joy's free tier is the widest of the nine: $0 a month buys the website, a planning dashboard, a registry, the mobile app, unlimited guests, online RSVP and Basic digital cards you can email or share by link with no minimum order. Joy earns on registry purchases and printed cards.
The paid parts are the ones couples tend to want: an envelope colour and reveal animation exist only on Premium Digital Cards, whose price Joy does not publish, with a 50-card minimum order; Joy-sent SMS is a paid add-on for US and Canadian numbers; and the custom domain (about $19.99 a year) is forwarding only, so the withjoy.com address stays in the browser bar.

Is The Knot wedding website free?
Yes, fully. The Knot's help centre states that the free website includes every core feature with no paid upgrade, subscription or trial. RSVP tracking, the guest list and the Messaging Hub are all in, which is why it is the free pick on this page.
The only flat add-on is a custom domain: $19.99 a year for a standard extension (it does not auto-renew), or $99.99 a year for a .wedding address. Like Zola, The Knot offers no digital wedding invitation; the free digital product is a save the date, and invitations are printed paper sold per piece.

Can you use Squarespace for a wedding website?
You can, but know what you are buying. Squarespace is a general website builder with wedding templates, not a wedding product: there is no free plan, only a 14-day trial, and the cheapest plan is Basic at $25.00 a month or $228.00 a year. A custom domain is included on every plan, free for the first year on annual billing.
RSVP is a generic form block. Replies go to an email address, Google Drive or Mailchimp; there is no RSVP dashboard, meal tally or automatic reminder. There is no separate invitation product: the site plays that role, and emailing guests is a separate Email Campaigns subscription whose price is not published.

Can you make a wedding website on Wix?
Yes, and for free: a Wix site publishes at no cost on a wixsite.com address with a Wix banner ad. The Light plan at $17 a month (paid yearly) removes the ad and includes a domain for the first year.
Wix is a general builder, but its Events RSVP is pitched at weddings: a registration form, guest limit, waitlist, meal preferences and extra guests. Invitations go out as Wix Email Marketing campaigns (200 emails per month included) or from the owner app by email or SMS. WhatsApp is not an in-product channel, and there is no envelope animation.

Is the Minted wedding website free?
Yes. Minted gives away both halves of the digital product: a free wedding website with event RSVPs, a registry, maps and accommodation pages, and free Online Invitations with RSVP collection and custom RSVP questions. Nothing Minted publishes charges per guest.
The main upsells are flat: a custom URL for $15 a year, and an original-artwork website that starts at $270. Delivery is email or a link only, with no SMS or WhatsApp channel, and the invitation is a static page with no envelope animation.

How much does Riley & Grey cost?
Building is free with no trial clock; publishing costs $39 a month or $299 for a twelve-month package. Digital invitations and save the dates come with the membership and are uncapped, so the price is the same however many guests you invite. A custom domain is included.
RSVP is thorough: meal preferences, travel details, song requests, per-event guest gating and a tracker showing who has opened the invitation. Live RSVP needs a published, paid site. The invitations are plain: the help centre says they look like a typical email with no animation, and every send is email.

How much does Bliss & Bone cost?
Two bills. Online invitations are charged per recipient on a volume ladder: $1.20 each for 1–9, $0.90 for 10 or more and $0.70 from 300, with design and preview free until you send. The website is a separate subscription, $15/month Standard or $21/month Premium after a free trial; neither includes the other. Bliss & Bone's own guidance is that most couples spend $40 to $120 in total on invitations.
RSVP is built in with meal preferences, dietary notes and custom questions, delivery is email or a WhatsApp link worldwide, and a custom domain is offered with the website plan at a price Bliss & Bone does not publish. The card is a single flat page with no envelope animation.

Which wedding websites are free?
Four of the nine are free in the full sense: The Knot, Zola, Joy and Minted give away the website and RSVP with no paid tier you have to reach. Two are free with a catch, Wix (an ad and a wixsite.com address) and Riley & Grey (free to build, paid to publish). Squarespace has no free plan, only a 14-daytrial. Bliss & Bone and Wedvite let you design free and pay to send: Bliss & Bone when you send the invitations, and its website is a separate $15/month or $21/monthsubscription after a free trial; Wedvite after your first 10 guests.
Free is honest at every one of these, but the money is made somewhere: a custom domain, printed cards, a registry cut or a subscription to publish. The Free tier column in the table names the catch for each builder.
Which wedding website builders include RSVP?
All nine, so the useful question is what kind. The Knot, Zola, Joy, Minted, Riley & Grey and Bliss & Bone run a dedicated wedding RSVP rather than a generic form (The Knot ties it to a guest list; Riley & Grey adds per-event guest gating); Minted, Riley & Grey and Bliss & Bone add custom questions, and the last two meal preferences as well. Wix uses its Events RSVP form, which covers guest limits and meal preferences. Squarespace is the outlier: a generic form block whose replies land in your inbox or a spreadsheet, with no tally.

Do I need a wedding website if my invitation has RSVP?
Often, no. A website exists to answer the questions a paper card cannot: venue, timing, dress code, how to reply. If the invitation link already carries the date, the venue map, the dress code, the RSVP and a place to write to you, most guests never need a second address, and one link is easier to send and keep updated than two.
You do want a website when the wedding runs over several days with travel and hotel blocks, when you have a registry and a photo gallery to host, when you need password-protected pages for different guest groups, or when you want your own domain.
