Michael Danner and Verena Rhomberg put this timber house up on the Marktplatz in 1639, on the plot where the parish house had burnt down; the red comes from an ox-blood protective paint that was standard in the eighteenth century. Inside are five panelled Stuben, and the one weddings take is the Härrastuba, the house's old festival hall. Below it sits the Burastuba, a trading hall before it became a room for celebrating and dancing, and the ground floor also holds the restaurant and, since 2023, the August cocktail bar.
