Competitor prices and features were read from the official pages on 15 September 2026: Evite, Paperless Post, Punchbowl, Greenvelope, Zola, The Knot, Joy (withjoy.com). A cell reading "not verified on 15 September 2026" means the vendor's page did not state that figure on that date, so we leave it out rather than guess. Which comparison do you need?
Want the wider field first? The round-up scores the invitation platforms in best digital wedding invitations and the website builders in best wedding websites with RSVP. Wedvite's own prices are on the pricing page.
Which platform is cheapest for 100 guests?
Free, if a website or a save the date is enough: Joy, Zola and The Knot charge nothing at 100 guests, and Evite costs nothing on a free design with ads. For an invitation with an animated envelope and no ads, Greenvelope is $99 for one mailing, Paperless Post's Premium set is at most $105 (the page prints no 100-guest total), Punchbowl is from $5.99/month on a subscription with ads, or from $7.99/month without, and Evite's Diamond package is $99.99. Wedvite is $89 once, and the price does not move at 200 or 400 guests.
Which platforms are free?
Joy, Zola and The Knot are free wedding websites with RSVP (Joy and Zola state unlimited guests; The Knot publishes no guest limit); Joy also sends a free Basic digital card, while Zola and The Knot send free digital save the dates and no digital invitation. Evite's free designs cost nothing but show ads. Paperless Post's first 50 invitations are free on a plain card. Greenvelope's free tier is a 10-person trial, and Punchbowl has a 7-day trial with payment details up front. Wedvite is free to design and share with your first 10 guests, then paid once to publish.
Which platforms send over WhatsApp?
Greenvelope, Punchbowl and Wedvite send invitations over WhatsApp directly, and Evite's shareable link explicitly covers it. Paperless Post's WhatsApp integration is for guest replies and host messages; sending invitations via WhatsApp is not yet available. Joy, Zola and The Knot rely on you pasting the website or card link into the chat yourself. If your families are on WhatsApp, WhatsApp wedding invitations explains what the guest sees.
How are these comparisons made?
Every number comes from one dated price sheet built from the vendors' own pricing and help pages on 15 September 2026, so the same figure appears on every page that quotes it. Where a page did not state a figure, the cell says "not verified" with the date rather than a guess. Wedvite wrote these pages and sells one of the products; each page names the columns a competitor wins. The wider round-up is best digital wedding invitations and best wedding websites with RSVP, and Wedvite's own prices are on pricing.
