Does Zola have digital invitations? Wedvite vs Zola
Written by the Wedvite foundersPrices checked 15 September 2026
Wedvite's list price is $89. This code brings it to $49, applied automatically at checkout:
No. Zola's help centre says it does not offer digital invitations; it offers a free wedding website with RSVP, free digital save the dates and printed invitations. Keep Zola for the website and registry and send the invitation elsewhere: Wedvite is $89 once, and its RSVP button can open your Zola page.

Competitor prices and features were read from the official pages on 15 September 2026: Zola. A cell reading "not verified on 15 September 2026" means the vendor's page did not state that figure on that date, so we leave it out rather than guess. Competitor prices are in US dollars; Wedvite's row is our own price in your currency. Prices change; confirm on the vendor's page before you buy.
Who should pick which?
Pick Zola if
you need the website, the registry and the guest list, and you are happy to post printed invitations or send only a digital save the date. All of it is free except the custom domain (from $17.99 a year) and paper, from $1.79 a card with a 20-card minimum.
Pick Wedvite if
you want a digital invitation that guests open from a chat. Wedvite is $89 once for unlimited guests, with an animated envelope, the venue map and RSVP, and it sits next to your Zola website rather than replacing it. It has no registry and no custom domain.
Does Zola offer digital wedding invitations?
No. Our price sheet records Zola's digital invitations as "Not offered", from Zola's own help centre: at this time it does not offer digital invitations. Its invitations catalogue is printed cards; the digital product is the save the date, free across 1,895 designs and shared by link, text, email or DM.
That leaves three routes: send Zola's free digital save the date and follow it with paper; order printed invitations from Zola (from $184.99 for 100 Petite cards with shipping, or about $204.99 in the default Classic size); or send a digital invitation from another platform and keep Zola for everything else.
How do you link your Zola RSVP and registry from a Wedvite invitation?
For RSVPs, open the RSVP settings in the Wedvite editor, choose "Link to my RSVP page" and paste your Zola website address. Guests see one RSVP button that opens Zola in a new tab, so replies stay on Zola's guest list. If you would rather collect replies in Wedvite, keep its built-in RSVP and use Zola for the registry only.
For the registry, Wedvite has no registry feature and no registry button in the editor. Write the registry address as plain text in the gifts section, or paste the Zola link into the same message as the invitation. Our RSVP link guide walks through the first part.
What does Zola charge for?
The website and RSVP are free for unlimited guests, and Zola says there are no hidden fees to get started apart from a custom domain, from $17.99 a year and forwarding-only. Paper is where Zola earns: invitations from $1.79 each, letterpress from $4.49, printed save the dates from $0.99, with $5.99 shipping on the order Zola quotes. Premium Website effects and Premium Guest Messaging are upgrades without a published price.
Is a Zola save the date enough as an invitation?
It does a different job. A save the date announces the date early; the invitation, sent closer to the day, carries the venue, times and the RSVP request. Zola's free digital save the dates do the first job well. A design-animation toggle on a save-the-date draft is the only motion Zola offers; there is no envelope anywhere.
Wedvite sells both, separately: a save the date at $19 with add-to-calendar, and the invitation at $89 for unlimited guests, opening with an animated envelope. If you have already sent Zola's free save the date, you only need the invitation; see digital save the dates for the difference.
What does a 100-guest wedding cost with Zola and Wedvite?
Zola: nothing digitally, because it has no digital invitation to sell, or $184.99 for 100 Petite printed cards including shipping. Wedvite: $89 once for the digital invitation, at 100 guests or 300. A couple using both pays Wedvite's price plus any Zola extras they choose, such as the domain.
