Aman Venice
Palazzo hotelSan Polo, Grand CanalLargest rooms seat 110–120; garden takes 150 standing
Palazzo Papadopoli sits on a bend of the Grand Canal in San Polo, and Aman has largely left the piano nobile as it found it — frescoed ceilings in the Tiepolo Room, a Main Salon that seats 110 on round tables, a formal reception floor rather than a converted function suite. Two gardens come with the building, which almost nothing else in the historic centre can offer: the larger seats 120 at dinner or 150 standing, the Pergola Garden 30. Scale is the constraint, since no single room here swallows a big wedding, but the party and the beds are in the same palace, so nobody is negotiating a boat at two in the morning.
