Italian and English wedding invitations for family and guests from abroad
Written by the Wedvite founders
For an Italian and English wedding, Wedvite gives you one invitation link with an IT / EN switch. Each guest reads every section and fills in the RSVP in their own language, and all replies collect in one guest list. The invitation is $49 once for unlimited guests; adding the second language is $10.
Wedvite's list price is $89. This code brings it to $49, applied automatically at checkout:

Built for Italian families and guests flying in
IT and EN in one invitation
Nonna in Bari reads Italian and the friends flying in from Manchester read English, on the same link, each with the full invitation.
See it →RSVP in Italian, dietary needs included
The questions are in Italian for Italian readers and the dietary options are translated too, from senza glutine to allergia alla frutta secca.
See it →All replies in one place
Italian and English answers fill one guest list, so you know how many places the ricevimento needs without adding up two lists.
Bank details for a wedding gift
A gifts section can show your bank name, account holder, IBAN and SWIFT, which is how many Italian guests prefer to give.
One venue, one map, one song
The church, the villa and the time of each moment are set once, so traveling guests and local family follow the same plan.
Changes on the link you already sent
Move the ceremony time or add a transfer note and every guest sees it on the same link, in Italian and in English.

Designs for an Italian and English wedding
How does an Italian and English invitation work?
Start in Italian and the editor itself speaks Italian; add English as the second invitation language. The built-in words, such as headings, countdown labels and RSVP questions, are ready in both languages, and every line you write has its own Italian and English text. You type the Italian welcome once, switch the editor to English and type the version for your guests from abroad.
Guests see the language you set first and an IT / EN switch to change it. For a wedding in Puglia or on Lake Como with half the guests flying in, that means one link in the family WhatsApp group and the same link in an email to friends in London or New York, without a second invitation to keep in step when the timings move.
What does adding English or Italian cost?
The invitation costs $89, once, and covers your first language, unlimited guests, the RSVP and the envelope. The second language is an add-on of $10, so an Italian and English invitation is $89 plus $10. There is no per-guest pricing, which matters for Italian weddings where the list keeps growing once both families have had their say. Music, a wax seal and a venue sketch are optional extras, separate from the language price.
You can finish both editions before paying: designing is free, and the free invitation can go to your first 10 guests, perhaps your parents and an English-speaking witness, so they can check the wording. Nothing reaches your guests until you share the link yourself. The editor shows the add-on in your currency, and the invitation stays online through your wedding date and at least 90 days after.
How does Italian wedding wording differ from English?
Italian tradition separates two things English merges. The partecipazione announces the marriage, often in the parents' names; a separate invito, or a line at the bottom, invites the guest to the ricevimento afterwards. Formal Italian addresses the guest in the third person with Lei, or avoids address altogether ('sarete nostri graditi ospiti'), while English simply requests the pleasure of your company.
Italian invitations also tend to name both sets of parents, mother and father with their own surnames, before the couple. Write the Italian edition as a partecipazione followed by the invitation line, and keep the English edition to one sentence. The date, the church and the villa stay the same in both, because they are entered once. On the invitation, a partecipazione and an invitation line can sit in one welcome text, one paragraph after the other.
- ✦English, formal: “Mario Rossi and Anna Bianchi request the pleasure of your company at the marriage of their daughter Giulia to Daniel Hughes”
- ✦English, from the couple: “Giulia and Daniel invite you to celebrate their wedding in Puglia”
What should you write in both languages yourself?
Schedule rows and extra locations keep one text that both the Italian and the English edition show. If you retitle a row, write both: 'Cerimonia · Ceremony', 'Ricevimento · Reception'. Times, map pins and links are language-free anyway. The couple's names are entered once and appear the same in both editions, which is what most couples want. Location rows work the same way, so describe the villa in both languages if its name needs explaining.
Travel notes deserve care on a destination wedding. Write the airport and transfer advice in the English edition, where your foreign guests need it, and keep the Italian edition about the family. Because each written line has its own Italian and English text, the two editions can carry different advice while sharing every date and place. A guest who switches language halfway still finds the same map and the same times.
