Schloss Maria Loretto
Lakeside castleMaria Loretto peninsula, eastern shore450 m² taken exclusively for the day; seated numbers quoted on enquiry
A wooded spit runs out into the eastern bay five kilometres from the city centre, and the castle Johann Andrä von Rosenberg built in 1652 sits at the end of it, sharing the headland with a restaurant, a bathing beach, a boathouse and a working fishery. Exclusive hire gives you 450 square metres for the day — the Festsaal upstairs for dinner, the Onyx bar on the ground floor, and a terrace looking west down the length of the water. The chapel on the grounds is a replica of the Santa Casa at Loreto near Ancona, so a church blessing, a registrar's ceremony in the castle garden and the meal all happen without anyone getting into a car. Catering is tied to one kitchen: Feine Küche Kulterer is the castle's exclusive partner and cooks on site.
