The Brown Palace Hotel and Spa
Historic hotel17th and Tremont, downtownUp to 219 guests
Frank Edbrooke wrapped this triangular block at 17th and Tremont around an open atrium when it opened in 1892, and the tiers of balconies still ring the lobby floor beneath its stained-glass ceiling. Weddings are sold as three fixed packages rather than room-by-room — 125, 175 and 219 guests — so the comparison you are making against other downtown sites is a per-head one from the outset. It is a working hotel rather than an event space with bedrooms attached, and that shows in how a weekend assembles here: the rehearsal dinner in the Palace Arms, the late drink in the Ship Tavern, tea in the atrium for whoever is up early, all without anyone leaving the block.
Atrium hotel, open since 1892
