Test your wedding invitation before sending it to everyone
A practical guest test for wedding invitations: phone layout, language, maps, RSVP and the difference between preview opens and real replies.
Run a small guest test before the full send. Ask testers to find the arrival time, open the correct map and complete the intended response workflow. Use the guest-sharing link, not your editor address, and check the recorded result instead of assuming a click worked.
Choose testers who find different problems
Try more than one phone and, for a multilingual invitation, a fluent reader of each language. Ask someone unfamiliar with the design to navigate without coaching. Check long names, venue entrances, time formats and the RSVP deadline. If you print a QR code, test a printed proof as well as the image on your screen.
The embedded Toscana sample is public and in English. It is not a customer invitation.
Separate the preview from the final send
Wedvite’s free preview is limited to ten guest people under its preview rules. Repeated opens and share actions are not ten confirmed attendees. Note any test responses so they are not mistaken for your final guest list. Before the real send, confirm publication and payment state, reopen the guest link and verify that the latest edits appear.
Before you send
- ✓ Guest link opens without editor access
- ✓ Names, language and local times correct
- ✓ Map points to the intended entrance
- ✓ Response result checked and test replies identified
Example to adapt
Could you test our invitation on your phone? Please find the arrival time and venue, then try the reply step if available. Tell us anything confusing, and mark your response as a test. Please do not forward the preview yet.
Questions and answers
Does clicking Share mean my guest received it?
No. Copy, WhatsApp and native sharing actions record an action on your device, not a confirmed recipient count. Actual preview opens provide a different, still approximate signal.
Should I test again after changing the invitation?
Yes, especially after changing dates, venues, languages or guest instructions. Reopen the guest link rather than checking only the editor’s preview.
Try the guest experience with Wedvite
Wedvite brings your invitation, event details and RSVP into one shareable page. Choose a design, add your details and test the guest view before purchasing. The free preview supports up to ten guest people under the preview rules; it is not unrestricted publication. A full invitation is a one-time purchase with unlimited guests. Optional extras and additional languages are shown separately in the editor. Save the Date is a different product. Verify the final configuration and checkout total before buying.
