Sharing wedding invitation links more privately
Understand link forwarding, guest information and public samples before sharing a wedding invitation through messages or social media.
Send your invitation directly to intended guests and include only information suitable for anyone who might receive a forwarded link. A difficult-to-guess URL or a page excluded from search is not the same as authenticated, guest-only access.
Decide what belongs on the shared page
Review addresses, contact numbers, family details and photographs before publishing them. If a sensitive instruction is only for one guest, send it through a suitable direct channel rather than adding it to the general invitation. Ask permission before including somebody else’s phone number as a contact. Avoid publishing a complete guest list just to make RSVP follow-up easier.

Understand what your link can and cannot do
Messaging recipients can forward links or take screenshots. Ask guests not to repost the invitation, but do not mistake that request for a technical restriction. Check the actual access settings of your selected product if you need authentication. Questions and answers
Does ‘noindex’ make an invitation private?
No. It asks supporting search engines not to index the page; it does not stop someone opening or forwarding the URL. Access control is a separate capability.
Can I share the link from the editor address bar?
Use the product’s guest-sharing flow instead. Editor and management links may grant access that guests should not have. Open the intended guest link separately to verify it.
