CastleCastle Rock, Old Town120 for a ceremony and 170 for a reception in the Queen Anne
The Queen Anne Room is the room most couples actually book — a panelled hall on Crown Square hired exclusively for an afternoon ceremony, an evening reception, or both. St Margaret's Chapel, the oldest surviving building in the city, takes only a handful of people, so larger parties use it for the vows and move elsewhere for dinner. Whole-castle hire opens the Great Hall, the Royal Apartments and the Crown Jewels to as many as 800 guests. The catch is the calendar: Historic Environment Scotland runs no weddings here from 1 June to 30 September, which removes the entire summer.
