Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental
Landmark palace hotelRas Al Akhdar, West CornicheUp to 1,000 seated in the Etihad Ballroom
The domed landmark at the western end of the Corniche has 85 hectares of grounds and 1.3 kilometres of private beach behind it, so a wedding can stay outdoors all evening or never leave the building. Indoor receptions run in the Etihad Ballroom — roughly 2,150 square metres, divisible into three, hung with Swarovski chandeliers, the central one weighing two and a half tonnes. Very large guest lists go onto the Palace Terrace instead, 7,700 square metres and up to 3,000 standing. This is the most formal address in the emirate and the one overseas guests will recognise from the drive in, which cuts both ways on budget.
