Hotel Emma
Converted brewery hotelPearl, East Grayson Street
The old Pearl brewhouse became this hotel and the event rooms kept their working names: the Elephant Cellar is walled with the grey brewing tanks it is named after, Cellar J and Cellar K seat about 150 between them, and the Brewmeister's Office is a 786 square foot room the hotel describes as barely altered since 1939. Dinner usually goes in one of the cellars with cocktails on the pool terrace or in the ivy-walled courtyard, and ten suites sit upstairs for whoever needs to be closest. The real draw is that nobody drives: ceremony, dinner and beds are inside one block of Pearl.
