Swedish and English wedding invitations on one link
Written by the Wedvite founders
Wedvite makes one Swedish and English wedding invitation, shared as a single link. Guests switch between SV and EN, read every section and reply through the RSVP in their own language, and all answers arrive in one guest list. The price is $49 once for unlimited guests, with $10 for the second language.
Wedvite's list price is $89. This code brings it to $49, applied automatically at checkout:

What Swedish and English guests get
SV / EN on the invitation
Relatives in Umeå read Swedish and friends from university abroad read English, each with the complete invitation on the same link.
See it →O.S.A. in Swedish
The RSVP questions and dietary options appear in Swedish for Swedish readers, glutenfritt and nötallergi included.
See it →Every answer in one list
Swedish and English replies collect in one guest list with names and party size, ready for the seating plan.
A section for the toastmasters
Add a text section of your own with the toastmasters' contact details, so guests who want to give a speech know whom to ask.
Changes on the same link
Update the time of the middag or a travel note and everyone sees it on the link they already have.
Shared pins, song and times
The church and the party venue are pinned once, your song is chosen once and each time is typed once, so the Swedish and the English guests follow the same day.

How does a Swedish and English invitation work?
Start in Swedish and the editor, as well as the invitation, opens in Swedish; then add English as the second invitation language. Headings, countdown and RSVP questions are translated already, and each line you write has a Swedish and an English version, so 'Välkomna att fira med oss' and 'Come and celebrate with us' can each be written properly. The couple's names and the date are entered a single time.
Guests see the language you put first and switch with SV / EN. Sweden has a high share of international couples, and a wedding in a Skåne barn or a Stockholm archipelago hotel often has friends flying in. One link carries both editions, so you post it once and never keep two invitations in sync when the boat times change.
How much does the second language add?
The invitation costs $89 once and includes the first language, unlimited guests, the RSVP form and the envelope. The second language is $10, so Swedish and English together are $89 plus $10. There is no charge per guest or per reply, however long the list becomes. That one price covers the envelope, the map, the countdown and the RSVP; music, a wax seal and a venue sketch can be added separately.
Designing is free, and before paying you can share the free invitation with your first 10 guests, enough to let a Swedish and an English reader check their editions. It is a quick way to catch an English phrase that sounds translated. The add-on price shows in the editor in your currency, and the invitation is hosted through your wedding date and at least 90 days after.
How does Swedish wedding wording differ from English?
Swedish invitations are almost always written with du or ni, warm and short: 'Välkomna att fira vårt bröllop'. The old formal 'Er', capitalized, survives only on very traditional cards. English needs more ceremony to sound right at a wedding, so 'request the pleasure of your company' or 'invite you to celebrate' usually opens the English edition, even when the Swedish one is plain.
Swedish invitations ask for a reply with O.S.A., om svar anhålles, followed by a date, and they often name the toastmaster and toastmadame for anyone who wants to give a speech. Explain that tradition in the English edition, because international guests may not expect to book a speech in advance. A one-line note, 'Speeches are booked through the toastmasters', is usually enough.
- ✦Swedish, formal: ”Emma Lindqvist och Daniel Brooks har glädjen att inbjuda Er till sitt bröllop”
- ✦English, formal: “Emma Lindqvist and Daniel Brooks request the pleasure of your company at their wedding”
- ✦Swedish, relaxed: ”Välkomna att fira vårt bröllop! O.S.A. senast 1 maj”
- ✦English, relaxed: “We're getting married and would love you there. Please reply by 1 May”
What do you write in both languages yourself?
Schedule rows and extra locations keep one text that both the Swedish and the English edition show, so a row titled 'Vigsel' shows 'Vigsel' to English readers too. Write the rows bilingually, 'Vigsel · Ceremony', 'Middag · Dinner', and the whole program reads clearly. Times, map links and the couple's names are entered once anyway. Location names work the same way as the rows.
Everything else can differ. The Swedish edition can keep its short welcome and the toastmaster note, while the English edition adds the airport, the ferry and the dress code explained for guests who have never been to a Swedish wedding. Each written line has its own text in each language, so neither edition has to carry the other's details. Both still share one RSVP.
