Competitor prices and features were read from the official pages on 15 September 2026: Greenvelope, Paperless Post, Evite, Punchbowl, Joy (withjoy.com), Minted, Bliss & Bone, Canva. A cell reading "not verified on 15 September 2026" means the vendor's page did not state that figure on that date, so we leave it out rather than guess. Competitor prices are in US dollars; Wedvite's row is our own price in your currency. Prices change; confirm on the vendor's page before you buy.
Which digital wedding invitation charges one price for unlimited guests?
Wedvite does: $49 once, for any number of guests. Among paid invitation services that is unusual. Most charge by the size of the list, either for each recipient or in bands of guests, or through a monthly membership. A few products are free for unlimited guests and make their money elsewhere, which usually shows up as ads, a registry or a plainer card.
The table above sets the main services side by side by how they charge. Paperless Post and Bliss & Bone charge for each recipient. Greenvelope prices each mailing by a band of guests, and Evite sells packages capped by guest count. Punchbowl is a monthly membership with tiers by guest cap. Joy, Minted and Canva are free to use, with different limits on what the free version includes.
When is a flat price not the cheapest?
For a short list. Greenvelope's smallest band covers up to 20 people per mailing and costs less than our flat price, and its trial is free for 10. Paperless Post lets you send its first 50 invitations free, as a plain card without its envelope. Our own free tier lets your first 10 guests open the invitation, with replies readable once you publish. Under 20 people, a banded service will usually cost you less.
A flat price is also not the cheapest if you do not need what a paid invitation adds. Joy's website, RSVP and basic card are free at any guest count, without an envelope. Minted's online invitations are free too. Evite's free designs carry a long list at no cost, with ads beside the invitation. A flat price earns its keep when the envelope, the ad-free page and the RSVP matter to you.
What does the flat price include, and what costs extra?
The $49 covers the design, every section it offers, the animated envelope, the RSVP form and dashboard, the share link and its QR code, edits after sending, and hosting through your wedding date and at least 90 days after. It is charged once, when you publish. There is no renewal fee, and adding guests after you publish costs nothing. Guests reply without creating an account, and the replies are yours to export whenever you need them.
Four extras are optional and priced before you pay: your own music for $10, a wax seal with your initials for $15, a painted sketch of your venue for $15, and $10 for each language after the first. With all four, the invitation is listed at $139 before any offer. None of the extras is charged per guest either, and each is shown with its price in the editor before you reach checkout.
Why do some services charge per guest?
Per-guest pricing follows the cost model of paper, where every extra guest meant another card and another stamp, and of services that send messages for you, where every text has a cost. A link you share yourself costs the same whether ten people open it or a thousand, so there is little reason to charge by headcount. Band and package pricing are a middle path that still ties the bill to the list.
For a couple, the practical problem is that the guest count moves. Lists grow after the first draft, partners are added, and a band or package bought for one count may not cover the final one. With a flat price, the $49 you pay on the first day is the total, however short or long the list ends up. That certainty is the whole point of the model, and it is the one thing to check in any service's terms before you buy.
