Cheap digital wedding invitations: what 100 guests really cost
Written by the Wedvite founders
The cheapest digital wedding invitations are the free ones, but they come with ads, guest caps or no envelope. If you want a paid invitation without those trade-offs, Wedvite is $49 once for unlimited guests, with the animated envelope, RSVP and WhatsApp sharing included. Per-guest services cost more as your list grows; ours stays the same.
Wedvite's list price is $89. This code brings it to $49, applied automatically at checkout:

What the one price includes
Unlimited guests
$49 covers a short list or a long one. Nothing is counted per recipient, so adding a few more cousins costs nothing.
The envelope is not an upgrade
Every design opens from an animated envelope. Elsewhere, the envelope is often the first thing taken out of the cheaper tier.
See it →RSVP with meal choices
Guests reply on the invitation with their names, meal choice and dietary notes, and you export the list as a spreadsheet.
See it →No ads to guests
Your invitation never carries advertising, whether it is on the free link or published for everyone.
Edits cost nothing
Change a time or fix a name after sending. The same link updates, and there is no reprint to pay for.

Competitor prices and features were read from the official pages on 15 September 2026: Paperless Post, Greenvelope, Evite, Punchbowl, Joy (withjoy.com), Minted, Bliss & Bone, Canva. A cell reading "not verified on 15 September 2026" means the vendor's page did not state that figure on that date, so we leave it out rather than guess. Competitor prices are in US dollars; Wedvite's row is our own price in your currency. Prices change; confirm on the vendor's page before you buy.
Which digital wedding invitation is cheapest for 100 guests?
On price alone, the cheapest are free: Joy's basic digital card, Minted's online invitations and Canva's free plan cost nothing for 100 guests. Each saves you money by leaving something out. Joy's free card and Minted's online invitations have no envelope animation, and Canva gives you a design with no RSVP tracking listed on its plans page, so replies have to be collected somewhere else.
Among the paid options, the price model decides the total. Greenvelope charges once per mailing, set by the size of the list. Evite sells one-off packages by guest count. Paperless Post and Bliss & Bone charge for each recipient, and Punchbowl is a monthly membership. Wedvite is $49 once, whatever the list, and the table above shows each service's figure for 100 guests.
Why does per-guest pricing cost more at 100 or 200 guests?
A per-recipient price looks small beside a flat one, which is why it is easy to underestimate. Paperless Post spends Coins for every recipient, with the envelope only on its Premium set and above. Bliss & Bone charges for each recipient once you send. Double the list from 100 to 200 and those bills climb with it, Bliss & Bone's exactly doubling inside its main band, while a flat price does not move.
Band pricing sits in between. Greenvelope prices each mailing by list size, so one guest over a band's limit moves the whole mailing into the next band, and a second mailing, such as a separate save the date, is priced again. Evite's packages work the same way by guest count, with no pay-the-difference upgrade if your list outgrows the package you bought. Count your guests carefully before you compare.
What is not cut on the cheaper option here?
The $49 invitation is the whole product, not a starter tier. It includes the animated envelope, every section the design offers (schedule, venue map, dress code, gallery, gifts, countdown), and the RSVP form with the meal, dietary and transport questions you switch on, plus a dashboard to read the replies. You share one link over WhatsApp, text or email, and you can edit it after sending.
What costs extra is optional and priced in the editor before you pay: your own song for $10, a wax seal with your initials for $15, a painted sketch of your venue for $15, and $10 for each language beyond the first, all before any offer. Leave all four off and the invitation is still complete, with nothing greyed out or locked. You see the total in the editor before checkout, so the price you pay is the price you saw.
How do you keep a digital invitation cheap without it looking cheap?
Spend on the parts guests notice and skip the rest. The opening of the invitation does most of the work, so a design with a moving hero and an envelope reads as considered even with plain wording. Short, specific text beats long paragraphs, and a clear RSVP deadline saves more money than any upgrade, because it gives the caterer a firm count on time.
Send it yourself from your own phone. A link in the family WhatsApp group or a text to each household costs nothing to send, and every reply arrives in one dashboard. If a few older relatives want paper, print the invitation's QR code on a simple card instead of ordering a full printed suite; scanning it opens the whole invitation.
