Email wedding invitations: one link, any inbox, one flat price
Written by the Wedvite founders
To email a wedding invitation with Wedvite, paste one link into a message you write from your own account. Guests click it, the envelope opens in their browser and they RSVP on the page. You pay $49 once for unlimited guests, not per recipient, and Wedvite never sends the emails itself.
Wedvite's list price is $89. This code brings it to $49, applied automatically at checkout:

What one emailed link gives your guests
Opens from any inbox
Gmail, Outlook, Apple Mail or Yahoo, on a phone or a desktop: the link opens in the browser. Guests need no app, no account and no password.
Replies arrive on one list
Attendance, how many are coming and a meal choice if you switch that question on, all on one live list you can check from your phone.

$49 once covers the whole list. A late batch of addresses from your parents costs nothing more to invite.
An envelope that opens in the browser
The animated envelope plays on a laptop screen as well as a phone, then the invitation unfolds with the schedule, map and RSVP.
See it →Corrections without a second email
Fix a typo or change the reception time and the link already in everyone's inbox shows the corrected invitation.

Competitor prices and features were read from the official pages on 15 September 2026: Paperless Post, Greenvelope, Evite. A cell reading "not verified on 15 September 2026" means the vendor's page did not state that figure on that date, so we leave it out rather than guess. Competitor prices are in US dollars; Wedvite's row is our own price in your currency. Prices change; confirm on the vendor's page before you buy.
How do you email a wedding invitation guests can RSVP to?
Publish your invitation, copy its link from your share page, and write an ordinary email from your own address. Give it a clear subject line, keep the body to a few lines, and put the link on a line of its own. Apple Mail can turn a link on its own line into a preview card with your envelope picture; Gmail and Outlook usually show it as a plain blue link, so the sentence above it is what tells guests to click.
Older guests are often the ones who prefer email, and the invitation asks nothing of them beyond a click. It opens in whatever browser their computer or tablet already uses, the RSVP is a short form on the page, and there is no account or password. If they would rather read on a large screen than a phone, the envelope and the invitation open the same way on a desktop. Three email bodies to copy follow: formal, relaxed and one for an older relative, each ending where your invitation link goes. For the subject line, something as plain as "Our wedding invitation, June 12", "You're invited to our wedding" or "Your invitation to Olivia and James's wedding" works best.
- ✦Dear Margaret and Tom, together with our families we would be delighted if you could join us for our wedding on Saturday, June 12, at Ashford Hall. The day's timings, directions and the RSVP form are all on our invitation. Please reply by May 1. With love, Olivia and James. Open your invitation: [your link]
- ✦Hi all, it's official: we're getting married on June 12 at Ashford Hall and we'd love you there. The schedule, the map and the RSVP are on the invitation below, and replying takes about a minute. See you in June, Olivia and James. [your link]
- ✦Dear Aunt Ruth, James and I are getting married on June 12. Click the blue link at the bottom of this email, then click the envelope to open it. You can tell us you're coming on the same page. Love, Olivia. [your link]
Is a flat price cheaper than paying per recipient?
For a full wedding list with an envelope design, usually: the table above shows each one at 100 guests, and a flat price only gets relatively cheaper as the list grows. Paperless Post sells Coins spent per recipient, with a limited free allowance on a plain card without the envelope. Greenvelope prices each mailing by guest-count band and offers a small free trial. Evite sells Premium packages by guest count, and its free designs show ads beside your invitation.
Wedvite is $49 once for unlimited guests, so a list that keeps growing costs the same. The trade-off is worth saying plainly: those services send the emails for you, and Evite, for one, shows read receipts, while Wedvite sends nothing. You paste the link into an email from your own account, and you see who has replied rather than who has opened.
Will an emailed wedding invitation land in spam?
It is far less likely than a mailing from a bulk sender, because it is an ordinary email from your own address to people who know you. A few habits help. Write a plain subject line without capitals or exclamation marks, use the BCC field or send in smaller batches rather than putting every address in the To line, and send one to yourself first to check the link opens.
Some inboxes still sort personal emails into a promotions or updates tab, and some relatives rarely open their inbox at all. If a close relative has not replied after a week, a short text or call asking them to look there usually solves it, or you can send them the same link by text. Your RSVP list shows who has answered, so you are chasing the right people rather than everyone on the list.
What do you do when guests don't answer the email?
Set an RSVP deadline in the invitation's settings and say the date in your first email. A week before it, look at your reply list, note who has not answered, and reply to your original email thread with a short reminder and the same link. Because the link has not changed, the reminder opens the invitation exactly as it is now, including any detail you have updated since.
Once the deadline passes, the form closes and shows a short note asking late guests to contact you directly. That keeps the final number you give the caterer from moving after you have confirmed it, and it means any guest who still wants to come has to talk to you, which is usually the conversation you want to have anyway.
