A digital wedding invitation is one link you send on WhatsApp. Guests open it to find the date, the hall, a map and a reply button that counts who is coming. How does a digital wedding invitation work in the Gulf?
You pick a design, type in your names, the date, the hall and the times, and add the map pin and the reply form. What comes back is one web address. A guest taps it in WhatsApp, an envelope opens on their phone, and the invitation plays as a single page: the Bismillah at the top if you keep it, the families' names if you add them, then the couple, the date, the venue, the dress code and the RSVP.
The 14 Gulf designs were drawn for weddings like yours: a night sky with a crescent moon, a ruby-and-gold palace hall, a quiet dusty-blue setting, a skyline at night, a staircase of roses, and more. Each has its own animation and music, and every line of wording can be rewritten or hidden, so nothing on the invitation is text you did not choose.
It stays editable after you send it. If the hall changes the start time or the women's reception moves to another room, you change it once and everyone who opens the link sees the correct version. A published invitation stays live through your wedding date and at least 90 days after.
How do you send a wedding invitation on WhatsApp?
You paste the link into the chat with a line of your own above it: the family group, the friends' group, and one by one to anyone you would call personally. The link opens as a preview with your names on it, so it looks like an invitation, not a stray URL. Guests need no app and no account; they open it in whatever browser their phone already has.
We do not send anything to your guests for you. There is no bulk sending and no company number in the chat; the invitation comes from you, which is the reason people open it. For a grandmother or an uncle who would rather hold a card, print one with a QR code on it and it opens the same invitation. Can one invitation cover a men's and a women's reception?
Yes, and this is the part many invitation sites cannot do. In every one of the 14Gulf designs you can switch the details to two receptions. Each gets its own card on the invitation, with its own title, hall, time and map link. The cards say “men's reception” and “women's reception” by default, and you can rename them to whatever your family calls them.
The dress-code section follows the same split, with a line for the men and a line for the women, and the women's line is a natural place for the short note many families add, such as asking guests not to bring children. Everyone receives the same link and sees both cards; there is one invitation to send and one reply list to watch. Can the invitation be in Arabic and English?
Yes. Guest lists in Doha, Kuwait City, Manama and Muscat are rarely one language, and a wedding with a Qatari family on one side and friends from abroad on the other needs both. Your first language is included. A second one is 29 QAR in Qatar or $10 in Kuwait, Bahrain and Oman, and you choose how it arrives: one link with a language switch, or a separate link for each language so the Arabic version goes to one group and the English version to another.
Arabic is set right to left in proper Arabic typefaces, with the Bismillah as its own line at the top of the Gulf designs. You write both versions yourself or have someone in the family check them. How do RSVPs and the headcount work?
The reply lives at the bottom of the invitation. A guest taps yes or no and, if yes, says how many people are coming with them. You set the ceiling per invitation, so a card meant for a couple cannot come back as a family of seven. No account, no password, nothing to download.
Your dashboard adds it up as the replies arrive: who is coming, who is not, and the running total. It exports to a spreadsheet, which is what the hall and the caterer will ask for when they want the final number. How much does it cost in Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain and Oman?
One payment, for unlimited guests. There is no subscription and no per-guest fee, so a list of 150 and a list of 1,500 cost the same. Qatar is charged in Qatari riyals. Kuwait, Bahrain and Omanare charged in US dollars: our payment provider does not accept the Kuwaiti dinar, the Bahraini dinar or the Omani rial, so checkout falls back to dollars and your card converts at your bank's rate.

Designing is free, and so is sharing the finished invitation with your first 10 guests, so you can send it to your mother and your sisters before you pay. What changes between Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain and Oman?
The invitation works the same way in all four; what changes is the wedding around it. Our venue guides for each capital were researched hall by hall, and a few differences shape what you put on the invitation:
- Kuwait.Most weddings run as two receptions at the same time, a men's hall and a women's hall with separate entrances, so a hall quoted at 500 is really hosting about a thousand. The weekend is Friday and Saturday, which makes Thursday night the contested slot. Kuwait City wedding venues.
- Oman.The same two-reception pattern, with Muscat's independent halls built for it from the floor plan up, and some halls working to a published midnight finish, so the end time on the invitation is real. Muscat wedding venues.
- Qatar.Segregated celebrations are routine, and the questions worth asking a Doha venue early are about a separate ladies' entrance and room for the kosha. For Muslim couples the contract is signed at court, not at the hall, so the invitation is for the celebration. Doha wedding venues.
- Bahrain.A large share of guests often drive over the King Fahd Causeway from Saudi Arabia's Eastern Province, and it backs up badly on Thursday evenings, which is worth a line on the invitation and a realistic start time. Manama wedding venues.
The one difference in the product itself is the currency: Qatar pays in riyals, the other three in dollars. Everything else, from the designs to the reply form, is the same.
