Nicollet Island Pavilion
Riverfront pavilionNicollet Island, Mississippi riverfront95 to 525 seated in the pavilion
The building went up in 1893 as the William Bros Boiler and Manufacturing works, passed to the Minneapolis Park Board in 1976, and came through its conversion with the exposed brick and tall industrial ceilings left alone. Position is what you are really buying: an island in the middle of the Mississippi, with a stone terrace and covered patio facing the bridges and the downtown towers behind them. The main hall runs 95 to 525 seated, a tent adds 50 to 125, and the site absorbs well over a thousand for something standing. Mintahoe holds the catering exclusively, so food, bar and staffing arrive attached to the room rather than as a separate search.
