## How ordering works (self-serve)

1. Visit https://wedvite.net/start and pick a template (each card opens its live demo + a "Use this template" CTA).
2. On `/start/[theme]`, type names and the wedding date. The system creates a draft and returns a personal `/edit/[token]` link.
3. Edit inline in the editor with live preview. Toggle sections (hide RSVP, hide gallery, etc.), pick fonts and colours, and choose add-ons. Autosave runs continuously.
4. Click "Publish" → Polar-hosted checkout → pay with any major card, Apple Pay or Google Pay, in your local currency.
5. Receive your `/share/[slug]` dashboard with the share-link cards: invitation URL, a second-language invitation URL if an extra language was bought, and a messages-token URL for the wishes + RSVP dashboard.
6. The draft becomes a published invitation hosted through the wedding date and at least 90 days after. Edits remain live; every guest opening the same link sees the latest version.

## Languages

Invitations are offered in 11 languages — including English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Dutch, and Swedish. One language is included in the base price; each additional language is +$10 (the "Extra language" add-on).

- **One language** — the full invite in the language of your choice. Included in the base $89.
- **Add a language — +$10 each** — any of the 11 offered languages beyond your included one, delivered as either separate URLs (one per language) or a single URL with a language toggle, depending on customer preference. Right-to-left scripts are handled automatically with hand-tuned typography.

## Wedding venue guides (/wedding-venues)

Researched editorial guides to the best wedding venues in individual cities and regions, across the United States, the United Kingdom, Spain, wider Europe, and the Gulf. One guide per destination at `https://wedvite.net/wedding-venues/<destination>` — for example `/wedding-venues/austin`, `/wedding-venues/london`, `/wedding-venues/tuscany`, `/wedding-venues/dubai`. Each guide lists real, individually verified venues with the venue type, its setting, seated capacity, an independent description of what the space actually is, and a link to the venue's own site. Guides also carry local planning context (marriage-licensing rules for foreign couples, peak-season pressure, typical local spend) and destination-specific FAQs.

Editorial policy, stated on every guide: no paid placements, no affiliate links, no commissions, and no venue has any input into what is written. Venues that cannot be independently confirmed to exist and host weddings are excluded. Photographs are freely-licensed images credited to their photographers. Each guide shows the date it was last reviewed.

These guides exist because couples researching venues are usually a few weeks away from needing to invite people — the guides sit upstream of Wedvite's invitation product, and each one links to it.

## What other platforms charge (checked 15 September 2026)

Prices below were read from each platform's own pricing pages on 15 September 2026 and are for one invitation to an 80-guest wedding, in USD. They change; the dated source is https://wedvite.net/cost-of-wedding-invitations.

- Bliss & Bone: $72, 80 × its published $0.90 per-recipient rate for 10+ recipients. Invitation only; the wedding website is a separate $15–$21/month subscription.
- Greenvelope: $79, the published "up to 80 people" single-mailing tier. Guest-capped: an 81st guest moves the mailing to the up-to-100 rung at $99.
- Paperless Post: at most $84, 80 × its published $1.05 Premium per-guest rate, and at most $40 on Basic without the envelope. Upper bounds, not a checkout total: the pricing page states the per-guest price falls as the list grows.
- Evite: $99.99 (Diamond); Platinum caps at 75 guests. $0 is possible on a free Evite design, which shows ads to guests.
- Joy: free Basic Digital cards, no minimum order; the envelope and reveal animation are on paid Premium Digital cards with no published price.
- Minted: free Online Invitations and a free wedding website; flat upsells for a custom URL and a concierge session. No envelope animation.
- Zola and The Knot: free, but neither sells a digital wedding invitation; the free product is a wedding website with RSVP plus a digital save the date.
- Wedvite: $89 flat, paid once, unlimited guests, RSVP included.

## Trust and privacy

Each invitation is a private URL. Guests can view the invite, submit an RSVP, and leave a wish — but cannot see who else was invited, edit the page, or access the dashboard. The couple owns and controls everything from their share dashboard.

Customer-private invitation routes (`/edit/[token]`, `/preview/[token]`, `/share/[slug]`, `/auth/*`) are deliberately excluded from search indexes.
